Krishnan (KP) is a patent litigator with extensive experience across an array of complex technologies. Prior to practicing law, he worked as an engineer focused on commercial and next generation semiconductor technology. KP has been described as a “savant for high-tech matters” by IAM Patent 1000 and recognized by clients as a “straight shooter, smart and diligent.”

KP is Managing Partner of the New York office and co-chair of the firm’s Technology, Media, and Telecom Industry Group. He is experienced in all aspects of patent litigation, including performing pre-filing investigations, handling complex discovery, preparing for and presenting at Markman hearings, working with fact and expert witnesses, and preparing and presenting the case for trial.

KP represents clients in an array of technologies, including telecommunications, networking, semiconductors, and medical devices. He has significant experience representing telecommunications providers and multiple systems operators in patent litigation related to interactive television and multimedia delivery technologies in several of the leading patent jurisdictions.

Prior to practicing law, KP worked as an engineer focused on commercial and next generation semiconductor technology for a major aerospace corporation. KP relies on this background to develop an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, and to apply that knowledge to develop creative solutions.

KP was ranked within the top 25 and recognized as a top 1% attorney in patent litigation in Patexia’s 2025 Patent Litigation Report. IAM Patent 1000 recognized KP in 2019–2024 for “taking the telecoms industry by storm” (2019) and noted that he has “impressive technical fluency and commercial acumen—attributes he applies to great effect throughout all phases of complex litigation. He has turned heads with his litigation efforts in the communications and networking fields” (2021). In 2019, The Legal 500 US recognized KP as “smart, insightful and hard-working” with “exceptional client management skills” and “a reputation for excellence.” He was also recognized for Finance: Fintech (2024) and as a “Key Lawyer” for Patents: Litigation (2021, 2024). KP has been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for his work in intellectual property litigation since 2014. He was also shortlisted for Euromoney LMG’s “Americas Rising Star” award for Patent. In addition, KP was included in the 2022 Crain’s “New York Business’s Notable Diverse Leaders in Law” feature.

KP currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Alumni Association for the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is  a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association. He is also a member of Winston’s Opportunity & Inclusion Committee and Executive Committee.
