Zachary C. Weit
Associate
Zach draws on his experience as a former clerk for Judge Joseph W. Nega at the United States Tax Court and for then-Chief Justice Thomas G. Saylor of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to help clients navigate complex tax issues in a variety of forums.
Zach has particular experience advising clients on matters involving complex administrative and procedural tax issues, including matters under the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982 (TEFRA). He also has experience with matters involving hedging transactions and reconstruction of income.
Zach also maintains an active pro bono practice advising clients on creating nonprofit organizations and applying for tax-exempt status with the IRS. He regularly provides updates on the latest tax news through Winston’s Tax Impacts blog.

Education
Zach received his L.L.M. in taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020. He received his J.D. from Penn State Law in 2018, where he was the section and associate editor for the Arbitration Law Review. Zach received a B.A. in English, with honors, and a B.A. in Spanish from Pennsylvania State University in 2014.
