Karen is a collaborative, versatile, and accomplished eDiscovery specialist with more than 20 years of litigation experience spanning various industries such as high technology, oil and gas, life sciences, insurance, and banking and finance.

Karen’s background includes extensive experience as a litigation associate, a client services director and consultant for eDiscovery service providers, and in-house eDiscovery Counsel.  She specializes in helping clients across all phases of the discovery lifecycle, including developing and implementing defensible preservation obligations and strategizing on and designing processes and workflows that reduce data volumes, speed reviews without sacrificing quality, and reduce client’s risks and costs.  Throughout her career, Karen has led teams of more than 100 attorneys and support staff on eDiscovery activities related to complex, high-profile matters pending in the U.S. and abroad, and is credited for leveraging emerging technologies to streamline workflows and develop powerful, innovative solutions for data-intensive projects. She has earned a reputation among clients and colleagues for quickly gaining their trust and confidence, and consistently delivering outstanding results that exceed expectations.

Prior to joining Winston, Karen worked as in-house eDiscovery and records information management counsel at a Fortune 100 company in the insurance industry.
