Attorney
Calvin is a litigator with unique insights, drawn from his prior career as a classical musician. He has a strong background in copyright and trademarks and an interest in international law. Calvin focuses his practice on a broad range of litigation matters.
Since joining the firm, Calvin has gained experience across a broad array of matters including second-chairing multiple depositions in a pharmaceutical antitrust case, drafting housing petitions and licensing contracts for pro bono clients, and shadowing negotiations at the National Basketball Players Association.
Calvin is a member of the associate board at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in New York City, where he has assisted artists with legal issues, including performing a free-use analysis of an off-Broadway musical and negotiating contracts for influencers. In 2023, Calvin worked in Geneva, Switzerland, as an International Fellow for the World Intellectual Property Organization. In 2022, Calvin was a 1L Diversity Fellow and summer associate for a mid-sized law firm in Portland, Oregon. There, he supported ongoing civil cases with a focus on commercial litigation, copyright infringement, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and class action certification.

Calvin earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 2024, where he was Associate Editor for the Michigan Law Review and a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and First Generation Law Students. He attended Northwestern University and in 2020 obtained a B.Mus. in Clarinet Performance, with honors from The Glenn Gould School in Toronto, ON.
