
Jonathan Hung
Associate
Jonathan is an associate in the firm’s Dallas office who focuses his practice on security, digital safety, and intellectual property.
Jonathan has an extensive technical background in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies. A former data scientist, he is a current graduate student in cybersecurity at Georgia Tech. He has passed the the AI Governance Professional and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) exams and holds numerous privacy certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP, and CIPT).
Jonathan has experience in navigating complex trust, safety, and security issues across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, defense, and critical infrastructure. Having lead investigations into cybersecurity compliance at major public and private companies, he is well-versed in various data security laws, standards, and frameworks, including DoD’s CMMC Program, DFARS 252.204-7012 and DFARS 252.204-7021, DOJ’s Data Security Program, the SEC’s Cybersecurity Disclosure Rule, NIST SP 800-171 and 800-53, and PCI-DSS.
Jonathan also leverages his technical expertise in patent litigation involving cybersecurity technologies and trade secrets litigation involving computer hacking and commercial espionage.

Jonathan earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2024, where he was a Chancellor’s Scholar and a Legal Academy Scholar. Jonathan received his B.E. in applied mathematics and engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2021.
