Winston Team Earns Spot in Litigator of the Week Column

A Winston & Strawn pro bono team has been highlighted for their notable win in the Am Law Litigation Daily’s Litigator of the Week column on October 24, 2025.

The team, led by William Logan, represented patients whose medical records were subpoenaed as part of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s civil lawsuit against two doctors for allegedly providing testosterone prescriptions to transgender youth. The state’s 15^thCourt of Appeals granted the clients’ petition to vacate orders from a Collin County judge forcing two Dallas hospitals to produce the records. The appellate court held that the Collin County court abused its discretion by ordering production while the patients’ challenge to the subpoenas, brought under Texas’s physician-patient and mental-health privileges, were pending in Dallas County. The team included Jervonne Newsome, Evan Lewis, Thanh Nguyen, David Phillips, Hollie Albin, Sara McGrath, Brian O’Gara, Jonathan Hung, Olivia Wogon, and Jamie Vargo.
