Winston’s Reliance-IM Global Transaction Featured in Various Media Outlets

Winston & Strawn’s work on behalf of IM Global and Reliance Group was featured in The Daily Journal’s “Dealmakers” column, “Quartet of firms advise in entertainment acquisition, financing, and joint venture,” on June 10, 2016.

The deal involved the acquisition of IM Global by Tang Media Partners (TMP), as well as a parallel transaction with IM Global and TMP who have partnered with Chinese tech giant Tencent on a new television production joint venture that will operate under the recently launched IM Global Television banner. The deal is said to be the first television slate co-finance deal in Hollywood.

The deal was announced on June 2, 2016. Coverage was also featured in The Wrap, Variety, the Hollywood Reporter, and Financial Times, among other media outlets.
