Winston Recognized During Global Banking & Markets Awards: Latin America & Caribbean 2026

Winston & Strawn was recognized as a legal advisor on the Chile Electricity Lux MPC senior secured financing, which received the Global Banking & Markets Power Finance Deal of the Year Award. The honor was announced at an awards ceremony held in Miami on February 26, 2026. This marks the third award earned by this landmark transaction, which represents the largest mobilization of private resources ever undertaken by IDB Invest.

Winston represented Enel Generación Chile S.A. and Enel Green Power Chile S.A. in the sale of receivables by both entities—alongside 24 other Chilean generation companies—to IDB Invest for approximately US$2.4 billion, followed by a complex securitization transaction in the international capital markets to finance the purchases. The receivables were issued under a Chilean electricity tariff stabilization program.

The Global Banking & Markets Awards recognize financial institutions and companies that demonstrate excellence across areas including innovation, customer experience, digital transformation, ESG initiatives, and overall market impact.
