On October 11, Real Estate Partner Doug Yeager spoke at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law. He spoke to 70 third-year students, each of whom is externing with a different corporate legal department through SMU’s Corporate Counsel Externship Program. Doug’s presentation on commercial lease agreements was part of the classroom component of the program and designed to broaden the student’s substantive real estate knowledge.

Doug’s twin brother, Steve, is the faculty supervisor of the program, dean of students, and the co-author of Inside Counsel – Practices, Strategies, and Insights. Collectively, the Yeager twins provide law students with a balanced perspective of the roles of inside (Steve) and outside (Doug) counsel.

Doug joined Winston’s Houston office in February. He advises lenders and borrowers regarding construction, energy, real estate, and commercial loan transactions.
