Associates Give Winston High Marks in AmLaw and Other Recent Surveys

We are pleased to report that Winston is ranked No. 19 nationally in the just-released The American Lawyer 2016 Mid-Level Associate Satisfaction Survey. In the regional rankings, our Los Angeles office took the No. 1 spot, and our Houston and San Francisco offices were among the top 5 firms in their respective markets.

Third-, fourth- and fifth-year associates at the “AmLaw 200” rated their firms on compensation, training, partner / associate relations, interest level of the work, and management openness. More than 90 percent of our mid-levels across all of our U.S. offices participated in the survey, catapulting Winston up the ranks for the second year in a row.

In addition, Chambers Associate recently published this highly positive “Inside View” profile about working at our firm based on interviews with a number of our second- and third-year associates. Our associates told Chambers that they appreciate Winston’s free-market assignment system, and one commented that “I was able to come in and align myself with partners who did the sort of work I wanted.” 

Our Summer Associate Program also garnered rave reviews in the 2017 Vault Guide to the Top 100 Law Firms, which ranked Winston No. 23 (out of 50) for Best Summer Associate Program. Participants in our 2015 summer program who responded to Vault noted the “fantastic experience,” “excellent exposure,” and interactive social events the firm provides to law students.
