JC focuses his practice on patent litigation in federal district courts as well as in Section 337 proceedings before the U.S. International Trade Commission. He uses his technical background to provide technical analysis on patent litigations, and he also works closely with technical expert witnesses to develop infringement and invalidity positions.

- Represented a major medical device company in an ITC investigation against a competitor company. The case settled favorably.
- Represented a major networking company in District Court against claims of patent infringement and convinced plaintiff to voluntarily dismiss the matter.
- Represented a major semiconductor company in an ITC investigation brought by a competitor which resulted in the client successfully invalidating all asserted claims at both the ITC as well as institution of the same claims at the PTAB.
- Represented a major telecommunications company in an ITC investigation related to Wi-Fi calling technology. The case settled favorably.
- Successfully defended a major cable company in an ITC investigation related to digital video records and advanced buffering technology. The asserted patent was dropped before trial.
- Successfully defended major internet content provider against claims of patent infringement related to digital voice messaging technology.
- Representation of Taiwanese semiconductor company in complaints and counter-complaints against a large semiconductor company in multiple complex patent litigations at the ITC. The cases settled favorably.
- Successfully represented a major telecommunications company against claims of patent infringement related to authentication and authorization systems.
