Winston represented Whitsons Culinary Group, a portfolio company of GenNx360 providing customized dining services, in its acquisition of Fresh Picks Café, a provider of outsourced food service management of healthy meals to public K-12 schools and summer camp dining locations across several northeastern U.S. states. The acquisition of Fresh Picks allows Whitsons Culinary Group to expand in the highly strategic New England region.

Secured Settlement in California Wage & Hour Class Action
Winston represented a luxury goods retailer in a wage and hour class action. A former employee asserted a class action involving claims for failure to pay overtime, to provide meal and rest breaks, and other related alleged violations of the California Labor Code. Winston used sophisticated data analysis to push the case to early mediation. We settled the matter for less than 10% of the exposure in the case.

Microplastics are generally defined as small plastic particles less than 5 mm in diameter. Some microplastics are intentionally manufactured, such as cosmetic beads, glitter, seed coatings, and pellets.
