Winston Takes the Checkered Flag After “Massive Win” Settlement
Winston squared off in the W.D.N.C. against lawyers for NASCAR in an antitrust lawsuit brought on behalf of racing teams Front Row Motorsports Inc. and 23X1 Racing LLC—the team co-owned by Michael Jordan and driver Denny Hamlin—alleging monopolization of the market for premier stock car racing teams. On December 11, 2025, nine days into trial and the morning after the plaintiffs rested their case, the parties jointly announced a settlement. Jeffrey Kessler and Jeanifer Parsigian were recognized by American Lawyer with its top “Litigator of the Week” honors on December 19, 2025, for this historic settlement.

US Tiger Securities Announced IPO
Winston & Strawn LLP is serving as U.S. securities counsel to US Tiger Securities, Inc., a full-service broker/dealer, in connection with the $10,000,000 initial public offering of SMJ International Holdings Inc., a Singapore-based premium flooring specialist. The Company priced 2,500,000 Class A ordinary shares at US$4.00 per share. The Class A ordinary shares are expected to begin trading on the NYSE American under the ticker symbol “SMJF” on December 4, 2025.

Boral Capital LLC and Craft Capital Management LLC in connection with the US$15M initial public offering of American Depositary Shares (ADSs) of Robot Consulting Co., Ltd. The offering consisted of 3,750,000 ADSs priced at $4.00 per ADS, and the company’s ADSs began trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol “LAWR” on July 17, 2025.

On February 24, 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) jointly announced that the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago would be a lead prosecutorial partner on the recently launched interagency Trade Fraud Task Force. Originally launched on August 29, 2025, the Trade Fraud Task Force aims to aggressively pursue importers, purchasers, supply chain actors, and other entities engaged in customs fraud, including duty evasion, misclassification of goods, and smuggling of prohibited items. In this article, we evaluate DOJ’s continued commitment to designate substantial resources to its initiative to combat customs and trade fraud.
