Michael primarily assists clients with products liability, defamation, and other commercial claims in both state and federal court. He has experience in all phases of the litigation process, including critical motion practice, witness preparation, fact investigation, and discovery management.

Michael works on civil and criminal matters across the firm’s litigation practice group, and maintains an active pro bono practice, including the successful representation of a refugee in asylum proceedings. Michael also volunteers as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law where he helps teach Legal Ethics and Advanced Trial Practice.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was a full-time volunteer for Catholic Charities’ Legal Assistance Group. During law school, Michael was a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and clerked for the Civil Litigation Bureau in the Civil Rights & Torts Division of Cook County’s State’s Attorney’s Office. Prior to attending law school, Michael worked for the Northern Trust’s Hedge Fund Services group where he provided hedge fund operations consulting services as a Senior Analyst.

Michael received his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2020, where he was an executive editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology and a captain of the Bluhm Legal Clinic’s Bartlit Center for Trial Advocacy National Trial Team. He received his B.A. in political science from Northwestern University in 2015.
