
Elizabeth E. Grden
Associate
Elizabeth is a litigation associate in the firm’s Chicago office. She concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, white collar defense, and class actions.
Elizabeth has significant experience in representing clients in all stages of civil litigation and in response to government enforcement actions including those involving allegations of breach of contract, fraud, defamation, RICO violations, and patent infringement. Elizabeth has extensive experience in both state and federal courts at all stages of litigation from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal. Elizabeth has taken and defended multiple depositions of key fact and expert witnesses and has led fact discovery, expert discovery, and the briefing of dispositive motions.
Elizabeth maintains an active pro bono practice, including as a long-time team member of a class action challenging the housing segregation practices of the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Recently, Elizabeth served as a law clerk to the Hon. Virginia M. Kendall of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Elizabeth received a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations in 2012 from the Catholic University of America and a J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School in 2016, where she was the Executive Notes Editor of the Michigan Journal of International Law and worked as a student attorney advocating for victims of human trafficking at the University of Michigan Law School Human Trafficking Clinic.
