Christian W. Gray

Christian's deep involvement in pro bono matters is inspired by his passion for providing legal representation to individuals currently and formerly incarcerated. He has assisted with a Section 1983 claim against a prison and prepared expungement filings as part of the Firm’s CEASE initiative. He has also represented low-income individuals in divorce proceedings and assisted in the preparation of claims for asylum.

Prior to joining Winston, Christian was a judicial intern for the Honorable Michael H. Watson of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Christian also externed at a local public defender’s office during law school where he prepared legal memoranda concerning state-law criminal issues, visited regularly with clients, attended plea negotiations with state prosecutors, and assisted with preparations for various court proceedings.

In 2018, Christian participated in an intensive Mandarin study as a Boren Scholar at the International Chinese Language Program at National Taiwan University. He has professional working proficiency in French and basic proficiency in Chinese.
