Jake focuses on complex commercial disputes and product liability matters in state and federal courts across the country. He has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery management, witness preparation, and complex fact development. He routinely advises companies on best practices to minimize legal risk and develops creative litigation strategies when disputes do arise. Additionally, Jake has litigated on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants and has extensive experience handling all varieties of contract and commercial disputes including restrictive covenants, trademarks, false advertising, and real estate.
Jake maintains an active pro bono practice with an emphasis on criminal defense and actions brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. In recent years, he has secured a favorable resolution in the Northern District of Illinois for a client facing federal criminal fraud charges and secured a complete dismissal of multiple violent felony charges for a client in Cook County, Illinois. Jake has also negotiated two favorable pre-trial settlements in the Northern District of Florida for cases involving excessive force and failure to protect.
Jake received his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School in 2022. He received his B.S. in business administration with a Minor in Legal Foundations of Society from The Ohio State University in 2017.
