Lisa is a trial lawyer who focuses her practice primarily on complex litigation, defamation, class action, and antitrust litigation matters. 

Lisa is experienced in representing clients in all aspects of civil litigation in both federal and state courts, including complex commercial litigation, product liability, class actions and defamation lawsuits. She has represented multiple companies and individuals in high-profile cases and trials. She routinely advises and represents clients through various phases of litigation including case initiation, discovery, class certification, dispositive motion practice, and trial. She has helped clients obtain summary judgments and outright dismissals prior to trial as well as defended clients at trial.

Prior to joining the firm, Lisa served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Mary K. Costello, the Presiding Civil Judge of Hudson County, New Jersey, and was a litigation associate in an international law firm as part of the firm’s strategic risk and complex litigation group.

Lisa also maintains an active pro bono practice and currently sits on the Pro Bono Council for Sanctuary for Families, a non-profit organization dedicated to aiding victims of domestic violence and related forms of gender violence.

  • Represents former chief financial officer of the National Rifle Association in civil enforcement action filed by the New York attorney general.
  • Represents eight defendants in a multidistrict litigation alleging numerous state and federal antitrust claims pending in the Northern District of Illinois. Her experience in the case ranges across motion practice, significant discovery practice, client preparation, and depositions.
  • Represents a Fortune 500 company in an antitrust lawsuit against Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. alleging monopolization, conspiracy, tying, exclusive dealing, unfair competition, anticompetitive product redesign, patent misuse, and sham litigation claims.
  • Defended a multibillion-dollar case against a large media company that the New York Times said was “one of the most consequential First Amendment cases in a generation.”
  • Represented a public utility company in two environmental toxic exposure class actions in state and federal court, wherein she managed the case team, drafted the key briefing, and argued dispositive motions.
  • Represented and won summary judgment on behalf of an individual client in a defamation and wire-tapping action.
  • Represented and won motion to dismiss a fraudulent inducement cause of action on behalf of an international business and technology consulting firm, wherein she drafted and argued the motion to dismiss breach of contract cause of action.
  • Successfully opposed a motion to preclude accident reconstruction and biomechanical engineer experts from testifying at trial.
  • Obtained dismissal of a manufacturer in product liability action based upon lack of personal jurisdiction.
  • Prepared an engineering expert affidavit and drafted and argued motion for partial summary judgment and other key briefing in a product liability action for defective design and failure to warn.
  • Represented an international online retailer in product liability actions, managed case team, drafted key briefing, and represented client at mediations.
  • Second-chaired a three-week jury trial on behalf of a regional car dealership in product liability action, conducted direct and cross-examination of expert witnesses, briefed and argued multiple motions in limine.
Pro Bono
  • Served as a member of the trial team, including the adverse direct examination of a defendant, that secured a jury award of $1.125 million in damages in the Eastern District of New York on behalf of a client who sued three New York Police Department (NYPD) officers for false arrest and denial of a fair trial based on fabrication of evidence.
  • Represented a domestic violence survivor in an application for resentencing under the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJA) that ultimately led to a reduced sentence equivalent to time served.
  • Represented Sikh observers in a precedent-setting case involving the right to free exercise of religion within the U.S. Armed Forces.
