Caitlyn advises clients throughout all stages of high-stakes and complex litigation, internal investigations, and government enforcement actions. She has also provided strategic guidance to her clients, including major corporations and financial institutions, related to potential or actual state and federal government investigations and consent order compliance.

Caitlyn represents clients in investigations and enforcement actions before the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and State Attorneys General, among others, and conducts internal investigations related to fraud and other financial misconduct. Also an experienced litigator, Caitlyn has examined witnesses and argued motions in both state and federal courts. She has advised clients throughout all stages of class action litigation, from the filing of a complaint to a federal class action jury trial. Her significant experience in both government enforcement and litigation provides a unique perspective that is particularly beneficial to clients that both operate in highly regulated industries and face significant risk of consumer-driven litigation. For instance, she represented a major pharmaceutical company facing simultaneous consumer class actions, state and federal investigations, and congressional scrutiny arising from the same alleged misconduct.

Caitlyn is experienced in managing all aspects of litigation and other adverse proceedings, including directing and managing strategic approaches to discovery and investigative requests, drafting dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions and other testimony, supervising local counsel and discovery counsel, and advising in-house counsel.

Caitlyn also maintains a robust pro bono practice representing individuals seeking asylum in the United States.
