Partner
Thania is a litigation partner with a broad range of experience representing clients in complex, high-stakes, commercial and securities matters in private litigation and enforcement actions in state and federal courts. Since 2017, she has been representing corporations and individuals in matters relating to blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, particularly in matters involving digital asset regulatory compliance.
Thania has defended numerous clients against federal securities fraud class actions brought under the Securities Act of 1933 and Securities Exchange Act of 1934 as well as enforcement actions and investigations brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission and FinCEN. She also provides strategic regulatory counsel to blockchain-native companies, including DeFi protocols, DAOs, stablecoin issuers, exchanges, and startups engaged in real-world asset tokenization.
Thania also has a very active pro bono practice primarily focusing on habeas corpus and reproductive rights litigation. She has worked with the Innocence Project, and she has submitted several briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court on constitutional issues.
Thania was recognized by The Legal 500 US for Securities Litigation (2024–2025), M&A Litigation (2025), and Finance: Fintech (2024). She was also listed in the 2025 edition of Lawdragon’s “500 X – The Next Generation” for Government Enforcement, Investigations, and Litigation. Education
Thania received her law degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2010. Thania received both her LL.M. (2012) and her J.D. (2015) from Cornell Law School, where she was a general editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and was the winner of the Langfan and Cuccia Moot Court competitions.
