Winston Sponsors Legal Technology Leadership Summit 2011

Winston & Strawn sponsored the eDiscovery Institute's Legal Technology Leadership Summit 2011 that was held September 6-8, 2011 in Amelia Island, Florida. The Summit, which discussed the ever-changing impact of technology on the legal world, was comprised of panel discussions, breakout sessions, and meetings to discuss the newest advents in legal technology.

Litigation partner John Rosenthal, based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, presented at the conference. He spoke on the panel titled "The Social Media Revolution – How social media impacts corporation from compliance, risk management, RIM and e-discovery perspectives," which addressed the implications of social media on corporations. The panel attempted  to provide some practical advice regarding social media risks and policies to mitigate those risks. The panel also focused on record management and e-discovery best practices as it relates to social media, including preservation and collection.

Ashish Prasad of Discovery Services and Catherine Sosso of Union Pacific joined Mr. Rosenthal on the panel.
