CALIFORNIA REENTRY PROGRAM MERGES WITH BONAFIDE INC.

Winston attorneys represented the California Reentry Program in its merger with Bonafide. Both organizations help previously incarcerated people successfully reenter society by providing pre-parole and post-release support and services.

The attorneys representing the California Reentry Program included Los Angeles attorneys Stephen Antion and Artem Bojadzian.

HEARTLAND HUMAN CARE SERVICES SEPARATES FROM HEARTLAND ALLIANCE

Winston represented Heartland Human Care Services, Inc. (HHCS) in connection with its separation from Heartland Alliance.

HHCS is a nonprofit organization that provides a wide array of social services for individuals facing poverty, displacement, and injustice. It traces its roots to 1888, to the work begun in Chicago by Jane Addams serving travelers and migrants in distress.

The Winston team representing Heartland Human Care Services included Chicago attorneys Michael Hill, Katie Mariani, Tyler Speakes, Grace Vorbrich and Erin Weber; and Washington, D.C. attorney Bryant Gardner.

THE ART AND BUSINESS COUNCIL OF CHICAGO COMBINES WITH LAWYERS FOR THE CREATIVE ARTS

Winston represented the Arts and Business Council of Chicago (A&BC) in a transaction that transferred its programs into Lawyers for the Creative Arts. Once A&BC’s programs are fully integrated into Lawyers for the Creative Arts, A&BC will discontinue operations as a free-standing nonprofit.

A&BC and Lawyers for the Creative Arts have supported Chicago’s vibrant arts and entertainment culture by providing pro bono legal assistance to artists and arts organizations.

Chicago attorney Tyler Speakes represented A&BC in this transaction.
