Winston & Strawn Hosts San Francisco Health Care Cocktail Reception

On January 10, 2023, Winston’s Health Care & Life Sciences Industry Group held a cocktail reception in San Francisco, bringing together attorneys and dealmakers from around the globe for a night of networking and discussion of trends within the space.

Amy Kearbey, Winston’s newest member of the Health Care and Life Sciences Industry Group and former senior counsel in the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General at the Department of Health and Human Services, shared remarks on health care trends in government enforcement that could impact M&A and other investment transaction planning in 2023.

Telehealth was also a topic of discussion. The electronic delivery and facilitation of health care services have become commonplace since the COVID-19 pandemic. The availability of telehealth services is expected to grow, as companies continue to focus on further development of and investment in digital health technologies.
