CHICAGO – Winston & Strawn LLP today announced the election of nine new partners to the firm’s 27-member Executive Committee. With these additions, women and minority partners will compose one-third of the committee.

“We are pleased to welcome a talented group of new leaders to the firm’s Executive Committee,” Tom Fitzgerald, Winston’s chairman, said. “Their considerable skills and experience will guide Winston’s global strategy and help drive our continued success. We look forward to their contributions as we thank our outgoing Executive Committee members for their outstanding service and leadership.”

Partners are elected to Winston’s Executive Committee, in accordance with the firm’s partnership agreement, every three years. Almost half of the newly elected Executive Committee members are women, and many have key leadership roles on diversity and inclusion initiatives and committees within the firm and in the legal industry.

“Our new committee reflects Winston’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, which makes us a stronger, more dynamic firm. We remain focused on building an inclusive culture in which all talented individuals feel welcome to practice, collaborate, and continue their professional development,” added Michael Elkin, the firm’s vice-chair.

The new group of Winston Executive Committee members represent a number of Winston offices and are widely recognized as leading attorneys in their respective areas:
