John Rosenthal to Present on PLI Webcast Electronic Discovery Guidance 2011

Winston & Strawn litigation partner John Rosenthal participated in a PLI seminar webcast, Electronic Discovery Guidance 2011: What Corporate and Outside Counsel Need to Know, held on September 19, 2011 in New York.

Mr. Rosenthal's panel discussion, "In-house Counsel's Guide to E-discovery: Everything You Need to Know" addressed:

• budgeting for e-discovery;
• obtaining the in-house buy-in for e-discovery;
• when to outsource and when to build in-house;
• technical tools companies need to effectively manage e-discovery, and
• e-discovery competencies you should demand from your outside counsel.

This program was designed to provide counsel with the understanding necessary to advise clients on state, federal and international e-discovery strategic and technology issues. Attendees learned practical strategies to apply when called upon to provide guidance on e-retention policies or e-discovery.

Mr. Rosenthal is based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and chair of the firm's e-discovery practice group.
