John Rosenthal, a litigation partner in Winston & Strawn’s Washington, D.C. office and chair of the firm’s eDiscovery and information management practice, spoke at the Electronic Discovery Institute (EDI) Leadership Summit on October 17, 2013.

Mr. Rosenthal presented “Maintaining Preferred Vendor Relationships: Identifying Quality Service Providers & Guarding Against Costly Vendor Headaches.” Identifying, retaining and working with preferred vendors can dramatically decrease costs and increase efficiencies related to the eDiscovery process. Maintaining these relationships long-term, however, can be challenging, especially when a preferred vendor is acquired, changes management or encounters financial difficulties. This presentation addressed how to identify high performing providers and build rewarding partnerships and engagement outcomes with vendors.
