Winston & Strawn Miami Office Managing Partner Enrique Martin spoke with Daily Business Review about the growth of Winston’s Miami office in 2022.
Since opening in May with six partners, the Miami office has grown to include 13 partners and 11 other attorneys, making it one of the largest headcount growths in South Florida for 2022.
“We’re still in growth mode. So I expect this to continue,” said Rick.
Initially built around practice areas including litigation, mergers and acquisitions and project finance, he said the office has grown around building up those practice areas with new partners and associates to help the office serve the Miami area and nationally. The growth is, in part, thanks to the amount of capital moving to and through Miami, he said. Whether it’s clients moving down to Florida or investors looking to simply move money into Florida or Latin America, Rick said the firm has seen plenty of opportunities to capture work from that money migration.
