Bill O'Neil Discusses Post-Closing M&A Disputes with RSM

Winston & Strawn Partner Bill O’Neil was featured on a video series hosted by accounting firm RSM US LLP, where he discussed current trends in post-closing M&A disputes, including working capital arbitration, indemnity claims, and R&W insurance claims. 

“2021 was a record year by any measure, whether deal size or aggregate number of transactions closed in the history of U.S. M&A activity,” Bill said. “There’s a greater understanding [amongst] buyers to be more sophisticated and understand their post-closing remedy options. You’re seeing a little bit more claim activity, therefore a little bit greater engagement of forensic accountants involved at all stages of the process.”
