We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019 Winston & Strawn Diversity Scholarship: Rebecca Carter of UCLA Law School, B.J. Courville of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Michelle Lee of UC Berkeley School of Law, and Stephanie Turner of Duke University School of Law.

Each recipient is a second-year law student and will participate in our 2019 summer program. Rebecca will be in our Chicago office, B.J. in our New York office, Michelle in our San Francisco office, and Stephanie in our Charlotte office. They will each receive $10,000 to apply towards their third year of law school.

Winston inaugurated the Diversity Scholarship program in 2004 to demonstrate our commitment to diversity and celebrate our 150th anniversary.

Applications are reviewed by the chairs of the firm’s Hiring Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Visit the Diversity & Inclusion page for more information on the program.

Many of our past recipients continue to practice at the firm, including Timothy Hughes, Kathleen Kim, Christopher Parker, Daphney Lazarus, and Peter Campbell Sode.

Congratulations to our 2019 scholarship recipients!
