Defendants Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) and Robert Bosch GmbH (Bosch) (collectively, defendants) filed an opposed motion to stay the district court litigation pending ex parte reexamination of all asserted claims of the U.S. Patent No. 7,502,958 (the’958 Patent) and inter partes review of 10 out of the 25 claims of the ’958 Patent. 

It is common practice for parties in patent litigation to bring joint motions to stay to finalize terms of settlement when they have reached settlement in principle.

On February 2, 2023, Judge Albright denied Apple, Inc.’s (“Apple”) Motion to Stay Pending Transfer.

On January 30, 2023, Judge Albright granted Defendants Ericsson and Verizon’s motion to sever Plaintiff Dali Wireless’s infringement claims against Verizon, and to stay these claims pending the resolution of the infringement claims against Ericsson.

On November 16, 2021, Judge Albright denied Defendants’ motion to stay in ACQIS LLC v. MiTAC Computing Technology Corp., et al. The case will continue as scheduled.

In Motion Offense, LLC v. Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. et al., WDTX-6-19-cv-00417 (Dkt. 42), the court denied a motion to stay brought under the Customer Suit Exception.
