The firm’s Hiring and Diversity Committees once again awarded Law Preview scholarships to diverse first-year law students. This year, we provided the scholarships to ten students attending the University of Chicago and Duke University law schools this fall.
The scholarship recipients attended a six-day, intensive Law Preview prep course before law school classes began on campus. During the prep course, students receive coaching and practical academic strategies to help them excel during their first year of law school.
The Law Preview program provides a valuable jump-start to the law school careers of many students, as evidenced by the appreciative feedback received from students Winston sponsored this year:
“Law Preview gave me a solid foundation to build upon in law school and also provided me with a strong understanding of what to expect this upcoming year. Not only did the course cover the vast array of subjects I will be learning this year, but also furnished participating students with multiple study aids and practice exams.”
“Thank you for making possible my attendance at Law Preview. I picked up numerous invaluable study, exam-taking, and general law school tips. The course has definitely put me in the right mindset to start law school.”
“Law Preview was an incredible experience and a substantial investment in my legal education—one that I absolutely won’t forget. Thank you for sponsoring my Law Preview tuition.”
We are pleased to announce that one of our 2015 Law Preview scholars will be joining Winston as a 2017 Summer Associate.
