On January 20, the Chicago office kicked off its annual Lawyer-to-Lawyer Mentoring Program. The program was developed in 2012 and was modeled after the Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Professionalism Mentoring Program. All first-year associates in Chicago participate in the Lawyer-to-Lawyer program and are paired with partners at the firm. At the conclusion of the program, the mentees can nominate their mentors to be recognized as Mentor of the Year.
In December 2014, the diversity committee honored Oscar David, a partner in the firm’s corporate & transactional department, with the Mentor of the Year Award. Oscar was nominated by his mentee Kristin Wickler. Kristin said, “Oscar is a fantastic role model and took building a strong relationship with me very seriously.” To read more about the firm’s mentorship program, click here.
