On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ or the Department) released its first Department-wide corporate enforcement policy (CEP) for all corporate criminal matters, which aims to promote “uniformity, predictability, and fairness in how [DOJ] pursues white-collar cases.”^[1]

On September 13, 2021, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced a new set of principles and “implementation actions” governing monitors tasked with overseeing reforms required under settlement agreements between the United States and state and local governmental entities, and/or related consent decrees.
