Alexandra's securities and M&A litigation experience includes:
- Luxco, Inc. v. Jim Beam Brands Co. - Served on the trial team for the successful trial involving a post-closing dispute related to an asset purchase agreement, where the Northern District of Illinois found in Beam's favor on all counts and awarded Beam counterclaim damages
- Successfully represented a global fashion retailer in a five-day arbitration dispute arising under a financial advisor engagement agreement following the completion of a multibillion dollar public company acquisition
- Representing a former CFO in a securities fraud class action in the Southern District of New York
- Represented Sycamore Partners, a private equity firm, and affiliates in multi-forum shareholder class action litigation challenging Sycamore's $600 million acquisition of specialty retailer Hot Topic, Inc.
- Represented Sycamore Partners in shareholder class action litigation challenging its $2.2 billion acquisition of The Jones Group in the Commercial Division of the NY Supreme Court in Manhattan
- Represented Taylor Capital Group and its board of directors in shareholder class action litigation in the Illinois Chancery Division in Chicago challenging its $680 million merger with MB Financial
- Represented Pacer International and its board of directors in shareholder class action litigation in Tennessee Chancery Court challenging Pacer's merger with XPO Logistics
She also has served on litigation teams in various other areas, including:
- Representing a global investment bank in an investigation by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) into allegations of collusion
- Representing foreign and domestic manufacturers accused of allegedly price-fixing a variety of automobile parts in In re Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation, which arose out of the largest cartel investigation on record carried out by the Department of Justice
- Represented a steel manufacturer facing Robinson Patman Act violations and state law claims
- Represented a steel manufacturer pursuing claims in connection with the misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract
- Represented a healthcare industry company regarding alleged violations of the False Claims Act and the AntiKickback Statute
- Successfully represented a major insurance company in a class action regarding the interpretation of long-term care policies
