Peter Crowther Cited as Positive Force in Professional Footballers’ Association Reform

Former Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Chairman Ben Purkiss was recently interviewed in The Times about his fight to renew the PFA’s focus on players’ rights, mental health, and anti-discrimination practices. While he was not initially met with a surge of support, Ben was victorious in achieving his goals and ousting the long-ruling chief executive from whom many of the organization’s core issues stemmed.
Ben cited Winston & Strawn London Managing Partner Peter Crowther as an ally during the legal battle:
“There has been really strong resistance to the changes that were recommended by the review, at every single state,” [Ben] says. “Crucially we had a lawyer in Peter Crowther, a man of real integrity, who was able to support us too.”
