Sophie is an associate in the firm’s Dallas office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory matters. She regularly conducts legal research, manages document review, and drafts motions and memoranda, including in matters involving healthcare and insurance companies, financial restructuring, and emerging technologies.

She has meaningful trial experience and has supported trial teams in high‑stakes proceedings. Her trial work has included preparing exhibits, assisting with witness preparation, drafting motions, and supporting counsel during depositions. Prior to joining the firm, Sophie served as a legal intern with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas, where she assisted with trial preparation, grand jury matters, and legal research.

  • Represented Health insurer in a multidistrict class action litigation and related opt-out litigations alleging that license agreements, membership standards, and guidelines entered into by insurer violate federal and state antitrust laws.
  • Represented Health insurer in breach of contract and fraud action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
  • Represented a leading precision oncology company against a competitor for false advertising and unfair competition under the Lanham Act. After a 3-week trial, a jury unanimously awarded our client a $292.5 million verdict, including $175.5 million in punitive damages, representing one of the largest Lanham Act false advertising verdicts ever rendered. The jury also unanimously rejected the defendant’s counterclaims.

Credentials

Education

Sophie earned her J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School in 2024, where she was a research assistant to Jay Tidmarsh and an assistant rector. Sophie also spent a year at The University of Southern California Gould School of Law as a student attorney for the post-conviction justice project. She received her B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021, with honors, where she was the United Nations’ Girl Up President.
