Miriam’s practice focuses on representing clients in complex commercial disputes, as well as energy and environmental matters.
Miriam is a trial attorney with experience representing Fortune Global 500 companies. Miriam has taken cases from their onset to verdict in jury trials as well as presented cases in front of a panel of arbitrators.
Her practice includes disputes relating to breach of contract, securities, environmental contamination, products liability, mass tort, engineering, procurement, and construction, real estate, premises liability, trade secrets, and personal injury. This includes representing clients in court, depositions, and in front of governmental entities.
As part of her practice, she advises senior business leaders on probability of exposure, litigation risks, and legal strategies. She also has experience investigating incidents and commercial dealings giving rise to potential liabilities.
Recent Experience
Miriam has been recognized by the Pro Bono College for the State Bar of Texas for far exceeding the State Bar's aspirational pro bono goal in their efforts to address the vast unmet legal needs of the poor. She was recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in the area of Commercial Litigation in 2022-2024.
- Miriam served as the editor-in-chief of the 2018 Harris County Bench Book, which is a joint project of the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association and the Houston Bar Association.
- Miriam currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association which is known for its rich tradition of community involvement and leadership in the legal community.

Miriam received a J.D., with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law in 2015. She was an articles editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas & Energy. Miriam was the marketing director of The University of Texas Energy Forum.
She received a B.A., with honors, in American Studies; English and received a certificate in European Studies from The University of Texas in 2012.
