Katelyn Taira

Katelyn regularly advises business entities and executives on responding to investigations and enforcement actions brought by state and federal regulators, including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and state attorneys general. Prior to joining the firm, Katelyn interned with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement.

Katelyn maintains an active pro bono practice. She was a key member of a team that secured compassionate release for a rehabilitated client seeking life-saving medical treatment and of a team that successfully negotiated a generous settlement for a client who was placed in solitary confinement after alleging prison staff misconduct.

Active in her community, Katelyn serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors for the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County, the Board of Directors of the Japanese American Bar Association, and the Board of Directors for the Japanese American Bar Association Educational Foundation.
