Caroline focuses her practice on labor and employment issues. She previously was a leader in the labor and employment law group at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) where she provided counsel and represented CTA in arguments, arbitrations, and both state and federal trials.
Caroline has experience in oral arguments, labor arbitrations, administrative agency hearings, and both state and federal trials, including trying cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. She has defended clients against litigation seeking findings of fault, back pay, reinstatement, and money damages in various cases alleging age, race, gender, and disability discrimination, retaliation, FMLA interference and retaliation, and whistleblower retaliation. Caroline also has experience training company managers on FMLA & ADA compliance.
Caroline also served as assistant corporation counsel at the New York City Law Department in the Labor & Employment Law group where she defended New York agencies, including the NYPD and the Department of Education, against litigation. After graduating law school in 2010, Caroline joined Winston’s New York office where she spent 15 months as a litigation associate.
Caroline received her B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College in 20017, and she received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010, where she was senior content editor for the Journal of Law & Gender.
