Paul’s practice includes structured finance, finance, capital markets, banking, and fintech matters.
Paul represents issuers, investors, borrowers, lenders, sellers, buyers, hedge funds, private credit funds, and other financial institutions in connection with structured finance, specialty finance, securitizations, and capital markets (144A and Reg S) transactions. He has experience with credit accounts, marketplace loans, auto loans, mortgages, MSRs, reverse mortgages, student loans, and life settlements. He has advised on banking, securities, and consumer finance regulations and compliance matters and has experience with mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Lastly, Paul has advised on technology contracts including hardware and software technology licensing and maintenance agreements as well as general corporate counselling.
Prior to serving as external legal counsel, Paul served as lead internal counsel for various financial institutions. He was General Counsel for a leading online, data-driven marketplace for private credit transactions (e.g., specialty finance and AB lending), Head of Legal & Compliance for the US operations of an international bank and broker dealer, and General Counsel for a consumer finance investment company and asset manager. Prior to that, Paul practiced Structured Finance and Private Equity/M&A at two other top international law firms.

Education
Paul earned his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School where he was a contributor to the BLS Journal of International Law. He received his B.S. from the United States Military Academy.
