Suzanne has been recommended in The Legal 500 UK since 2021 and sources say she is “very impressive” and has “great attention to detail”. Suzanne is an international disputes specialist, with a focus on high-value, complex, and multi-jurisdictional international arbitration and commercial litigation. She has acted as counsel and advocate for a number of multinational corporations in commercial arbitrations. She has experience in managing all aspects of such cases.

Suzanne's international caseload has included disputes in Asia, Europe, and Africa. She has represented clients across sectors ranging from oil & gas, financial services, mining & metals, and technology. Suzanne has experience in a range of dispute resolution procedures including international arbitration (ICC, LCIA, LMAA, and HKIAC), litigation proceedings in the Courts of England & Wales (Commercial Court, Chancery Division, and Court of Appeal), and mediation. She has particular experience in joint venture and shareholder disputes.

Suzanne has significant experience in contractual disputes consisting of highly technical and specialist areas of expertise which have required her to become a subject matter expert in order to effectively resolve such disputes. Recent examples include disputes concerning the suitability of an oilfield for commercial production and the backend operations of iOS and Android applications. 

Suzanne also regularly provides advice concerning other strategic aspects of disputes where arbitration, litigation, and/or regulatory proceedings that may be occurring in a number of jurisdictions worldwide. This has included making and responding to applications for urgent injunctive relief. In addition to her experience with contentious matters, Suzanne also gives strategic advice in relation to pre-contentious matters, including the drafting of dispute resolution agreements.  

Suzanne completed a secondment at IT services company Atos.

  • Acting for a subsidiary of one of the world’s leading food delivery groups in a multi-billion Euro arbitration under DIFC-LCIA Rules (Dubai seat, English governing law) and ancillary litigation arising out of a shareholders’ agreement.
  • Acting for a leading coatings company in a high value LMAA product liability dispute with multiple ship-owners.
  • Acting for a major oil company in a high value dispute regarding the rights and duties of operator and non-operator in respect of oilfields in central Asia.
  • Acting for a large Nigerian financial services institution in a US$50M ICC arbitration against a private equity investor.
Litigation
  • Acting for bondholders in a US$1.7BN claim before Hong Kong Court of Appeal in order to determine the effectiveness of the approx. $36bn Offshore Keepwell bonds issued by entities in Mainland China.
  • Acting for Motorola Solutions, Inc, in a judicial review application before the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
  • Acting for defendants in an expedited case in the Chancery division of the High Court concerning contract formation.
  • Representing claimants in successfully obtaining injunctive relief from the English Commercial Court requiring the proceeds of sale to be paid into court.
  • Acting for a Greek yoghurt manufacturer in a passing off claim against a competitor before the Court of Appeal.
Fraud and related advisory matters:
  • Advising in respect of various fraud matters, including in respect of issues arising from the UK Bribery Act.

Suzanne works closely with clients, including having completed a secondment at an international technology services company.

Suzanne received a B.A. in History, with first class honours, from the University of Warwick in 2011. She received her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2012 from BPP Law School, London, where she also completed the Legal Practice Course in 2013 (with Distinction).
