Gayle has an exceptionally diverse litigation practice, representing clients in connection with consumer class actions, trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, complex commercial, and financial services litigation. She has appeared before various courts and other tribunals across the nation and is experienced in appeals involving a broad range of issues.
Gayle has practiced extensively in the field of consumer class action litigation. The claims at issue include Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), unfair business practices, false advertising and alleged violations of statutory schemes including personal identifying information collection, California gift card redemption, and Made-in-the-USA labeling. Her intellectual property experience includes cases involving claims of patent and trademark infringement, counterfeit products, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Gayle’s representations in complex business disputes extend to breach of contract, fraud, misrepresentation, California Business & Professions Code Section 17200, intentional interference with economic advantage, and breach of fiduciary duty matters.
Gayle has defended litigation in multiple sectors of the financial services industry, including banks, broker-dealers, investment funds, and mortgage companies. The representations included whistleblower, suitability, and regulatory issues, among others. She has also represented realty and escrow companies and their agents in disputes arising out of the development and sale of real property, property improvements, U.S. Department of Housing and Development investigations, and issues of nondisclosure. In addition, she has defended multiple putative class actions involving Truth in Lending Act (TILA) violations and wage and hour class actions by loan officers. Gayle also represents insurance companies and policyholders in insurance coverage disputes.
Gayle has represented clients before courts and arbitration panels across the nation, and she is experienced in appeals involving a broad range of issues, including: asbestos, assignments, effect of bankruptcy on civil claims, bad faith, breach of contract, Section 17200, constitutional rights, expert witnesses, personal jurisdiction based on Internet contacts, and rescission. She also routinely counsels clients with respect to regulatory matters and internal investigations.

Gayle received a B.A., cum laude, in 1990 from Chapman College, where she was a Presidential Scholarship recipient, and a J.D. in 1993 from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she was a member of the editorial board for the Hastings Women’s Law Journal.
