Greg advises clients in finance and insolvency related matters, including lending transactions, out of court work outs, bankruptcy cases, remedies exercises and distressed mergers and acquisitions.

Greg represents lenders, agents and other stakeholders in distressed transactions and special situations, including change of control restructurings, proxy exercises, foreclosures and chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. His clients include numerous private credit and sponsor finance lenders, including Ares Capital Corporation, Twin Brook Capital Partners, Bank of Montreal and other direct lenders who trust him with many of their most sensitive matters.

Greg has experience in restructurings across virtually all industries but has extensive experience in restructuring matters in multi-site healthcare.

Greg’s pro bono practice includes advising non-profit companies and their boards of directors regarding insolvency issues and multiple matters for Root Capital. In addition, he successfully represented Landmarks Illinois in the Chapter 11 case of the owner of a significant David Adler designed home for which Landmarks Illinois held a preservation easement.

Greg is a member of the board of trustees of Marist College. He is also an officer of the McCann Foundation, and a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA).

Credentials

Education

Greg received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from Siena College in 1999 and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2002, where he was senior editor of the Journal of Labor and Employment Law. He also received a L.L.M. in International Business Law in 2003 from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Illinois.
