Lauren focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, antitrust litigation, and international corporate and governmental investigations.

 

Lauren has significant experience representing major U.S. and multinational corporations in consumer class actions, multidistrict litigations, and government investigations involving a wide array of federal and state antitrust issues, including monopolization, price fixing, bid rigging, group boycotts, exclusive dealing, tying, and unfair competition. Lauren also has experience representing clients in civil RICO litigation and litigating mixed issues of antitrust and intellectual property law, including relating to fraud on the PTO and sham litigation.

Representative Antitrust Matters:

  • Represents a Fortune 500 company in an antitrust lawsuit against Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. alleging monopolization, conspiracy, tying, exclusive dealing, unfair competition, anticompetitive product redesign, patent misuse, and sham litigation claims
  • Represents multiple foreign and domestic manufacturers accused of allegedly price-fixing a variety of automobile parts in the multidistrict automotive parts antitrust litigation consolidated in the Eastern District of Michigan
  • Represented Japanese multinational electronics corporation and its U.S. subsidiary against allegations of price-fixing and bid-rigging in the resistors industry
  • Regularly represents multinational corporations and high-level executives in global cartel investigations and related proceedings requiring the coordination of responses to government agencies spanning various jurisdictions across Asia, Europe, South America, and the United States

Representative RICO Litigation:

  • Represented plaintiff in civil RICO action against a cartel of foreign agricultural producers and their affiliates in the United States
  • Represented a U.S. television sports channel in federal court RICO litigation arising out of its competitors’ bribery of South American soccer officials to obtain the broadcasting rights to international soccer tournaments
  • Represented multilevel marketing organization in class action litigation involving pyramid scheme allegations under RICO and federal securities laws

Pro Bono:

  • Represents the New York Civil Liberties Union in connection with its project aimed at achieving systemic reform of racially-biased policing and disciplinary practices
  • Involved in firm’s efforts to assist and support the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment
  • Successfully obtained affirmative asylum on the behalf of multiple clients with well-founded fear of persecution on the basis of sexual orientation in their home countries

Credentials

Education

Lauren received her B.A. in Spanish and Psychology, with a certificate in Business, from the University of Wisconsin in 2010 and she received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School in 2013, where she was a managing editor for Tulane Law Review. During law school, Lauren served as a Legal Extern to the Honorable Nanette Jolivette Brown in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
