Michael focuses his practice on representing private equity, private debt, and venture capital funds in formation and ongoing operational matters, with a special focus on guiding funds through the small business investment company (SBIC) licensure process at the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Michael represents all types of private investment funds in initial structuring, capital raising, regulatory compliance, and ongoing operational matters. He also regularly guides private investment fund sponsors through the SBIC licensing process, and counsels clients on regulatory matters related to SBIC licensure.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael was an associate at a global law firm representing sponsors of private equity funds, venture capital funds, and other private investment funds in matters concerning formation, operations, governance, regulatory compliance, and numerous other matters that arise throughout a fund’s life cycle.
