Courtney practices in complex commercial litigation, government enforcement and internal investigations, and appellate advocacy.
Courtney represents clients in class action litigation, regulatory enforcement inquiries and investigations, and compliance counseling. Her experience includes consumer protection, unfair competition, and fraud claims, among others. She is skilled at developing creative legal strategies and helping clients navigate unclear, complex areas of law.
Before joining the firm, Courtney collaborated on high-stakes civil and criminal appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and state supreme and appellate courts as an extern for the North Carolina Office of the Solicitor General.

Education
Courtney received her J.D., with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2023, where she was Executive Editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law and served as a student-attorney in the UNC School of Law Immigration Clinic. She graduated, cum laude, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014 with a B.A. in English and minors in Comparative Literature and Slavic and East European Cultures.
