Jasmine is a former Winston summer associate who performed various legal research and writing projects with a special interest in complex commercial, antitrust, and IP litigation.
Jasmine has gained diverse legal and public service experience through several key internships. At the Georgia Innocence Project, she worked closely with attorneys and people exonerated of wrongful convictions to conduct legal research on possible wrongful conviction cases, as well as more general research upon attorneys' necessity (e.g., qualifications of expert witnesses). During her time with the Abrams for Governor Campaign, Jasmine supported the Research Team by providing real-time updates on polling data, media coverage, and public opinion. She also interned with the Illinois Department of Human Services, where she shadowed the Regional Administrator who oversees all local Family and Community Resource Centers in the Chicagoland area.
Additionally, Jasmine contributed to the Federal Defender Program for the Northern District of Georgia’s Capital Habeas Unit, assisting paralegals and attorneys with legal research on federal capital cases, as well as providing essential administrative support.
Jasmine earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2024, where she was a member of the Frederick Douglass Moot Court and Black Law Students Association. She received her B.A. from Emory University in political science in 2021, where she was a member of the Student Government Association, Emory College Council, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and Students for Prison Education, Activism, and Resistance.
