Madeline is an environmental associate in Winston’s Chicago office. She handles environmental due diligence, provides regulatory compliance counseling, and advises clients on complex environmental issues.
Before joining Winston, Madeline worked with the Environmental Advocacy Center at the Bluhm Legal Clinic, where she advocated for incarcerated individuals' access to safe drinking water in Illinois Department of Corrections facilities. She also served as a Sustainability Fellow at the Paula M. Trienens Institute for Sustainability and Energy, advancing initiatives to replace lead service lines in childcare facilities across the Chicagoland area. In addition, Madeline worked as a Research Assistant to Dean Hari Osofsky, conducting research on climate change litigation and energy justice.
Prior to law school, Madeline held roles as an Energy Advisor, Energy Efficiency & Conservation Specialist, and Paralegal, giving her a unique perspective on the intersection of law, energy, and environmental policy. She remains committed to promoting sustainability and public service through her legal practice.
Madeline received her Juris Doctor from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in 2025 where she was an associate editor for the Journal of Law and Social Policy, participated in the Environmental Advocacy Center at the Bluhm Legal Clinic, and served as a Research Assistant to Dean Hari Osofsky. She received two Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2019.
