CHICAGO, IL — Winston & Strawn LLP announced today the firm’s continued support of the Chicago Bar Foundation (CBF) Investing in Justice Campaign. In its seventh year, the campaign brings together thousands of individual lawyers and legal professionals in the Chicago-area to help ensure people in need have access to justice.
“Winston & Strawn is honored to support the Chicago Bar Foundation’s annual Investing in Justice Campaign and to continue the firm’s strong legacy of pro bono work benefiting the Chicago community,” said Tom Fitzgerald, firm managing partner.
“The Investing in Justice campaign is unique among big city markets and important to Winston & Strawn,” added Dan Webb, firm chairman. “The firm had a historic participation rate of more than 50 percent last year and we’re hoping to build on that contribution.”
In 2012, 3,600 individual attorneys and legal professionals from 118 law firms, corporate legal departments and other law-related organizations raised a record of more than $1.55 million for the campaign. All funds raised in the Campaign will again go directly towards CBF grants to more than 40 pro bono and legal aid organizations to provide critical legal assistance to tens of thousands of people.
