Winston & Strawn Sponsors Third Annual Chief Justice Ronald M. George Distinguished Lectureship Series

Winston & Strawn was a sponsor of the Golden Gate University School of Law’s Third Annual Chief Justice Ronald M. George Distinguished Lectureship Series held October 18, 2011 in San Francisco. 

California Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye served as the 2011 lecturer. Justice Cantil-Sakauye is California’s first Chief Justice of color and will preside over a court which, for the first time in history, will consist of a female majority. She was joined on the panel by Chief Justices of color from across the country, including the President of the Conference of Chief Justices, Chief Judge Eric Washington of the D.C. Court of Appeals, Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace Jefferson, and Nevada Supreme Court Chief Justice Michael Douglas. Chief Judge James Ware provided a federal Chief Judge’s perspective. Justice Joan Dempsey Klein of the California Court of Appeal also moderated the panel.
